Introduced Species

‘Introduced Species’ is a personal project of mine. These images are scenes from a movie that will most likely only ever exist inside my own head :)

I did this in Keyshot. Some modeling in Moi but most of the elements are Turbosquid models.

PBD Architects

Visual identity exploration below. We ended up going with empty forms instead but originally I wanted the cavities of the logo to have forms that moved and revealed the letters P B D. I have a thing for concrete and wood so those materials were explored here. These were modeled and textured by me in Moi and Keyshot. The previs animation was done by me in the limited animation capabilities available in Keyshot. The final animation was done by Hugh.

Spanish Steps (ABO)

Some screenshots of a presentation here. Starting with exploration and reasoning behind materiality, colours and form. The Spanish Steps are in Rome so exploring travertine as a material, Italian sky colours and the late evening colours on buildings in southern Europe. The movement is the spiral staircase rotating. It didn’t end up looking like this but this was the start. I did all of this in Keyshot and Moi.

Here are some boards from the early work on the ABO visual identity. Inspired by baton movements, Baroque flowing ornamentation and nature. Exploring different textures, wood, gold etc. A few boards also showing the typography and colour choices. Designed by me from a hand drawing, modeled by someone else but lit and textured by me in Keyshot. In terms of animation, Hugh did a beautiful reveal to it but I don’t have it here with me right now, unfortunately.
